Platforms race YouTube for creators, RBI fixes SGB exit price, and Gen Z SIPs face a lifestyle test

Tip of the day

Clear costly credit before you scale up investing

Before raising your monthly investment, list every buy-now-pay-later plan and credit card balance you carry. Interest and late fees on these can quietly cancel out what your investments earn. Pay the costliest balance off first, then move that freed-up payment into your regular investment so the habit keeps going. As CA Sakchi Jain put it this week, it's often your lifestyle, not the market, that competes with your SIP.

🧭 Reality check: effort & risk

Effort: low, one hour to list debts and set reminders. Cost: none. Risk: low, but it means slower investing for a few months; keep a small emergency buffer while you pay down. Rates and fees differ by lender and country. Not financial advice.
